    Jan 2 Mar 2, 15 – Captain Bob’s outdoor winter fishing derby. Capt. Bob’s is located at 10295 Main Street in Clarence. Call 407-3021 for more information. Eligible species include walleye, northern pike, perch, rainbow trout, crappie, bluegill and rudd. $ 20 entry fee.

    January 2 – The Winter Trap League begins at the Alden Rod and Gun Club, 12 County Line Road, Alden. Scratch league, shooting every other Sunday. 250 birds to determine the class. Trap shooting open Tuesday 6-8 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m.-1.30 p.m. Non-members and public reception. Call Jim at 683-2224 for more information.

    January 4 – Double-tap pistol shooting at Allied Sportsmen, 12846 Clinton St., Alden. First and third Tuesday of each month until March at 6.15 p.m. For more information, contact Fred Weymer at 359-2475.

    January 4 – Lake Ontario Charter Boat Association monthly meeting at 7 p.m. at the Irondequoit Rod and Gun Club, 658 Bay Front S, Rochester (first Tuesday of each month).

    January 4-5 – Indoor Archery Scratch League at the Three-F Club, 904 Swann Road, Lewiston, 4pm to 9pm for non-members. Club members can shoot on any day. It will last 8 weeks. The cost is $ 30 (one-time fee). Individuals, not teams. Vegas 3-spot or one face. Young people are welcome but must shoot 20 meters. Call Ryan Lucas at 628-8194 for details.
