A NEW adventure sports attraction opened on the Isle of Wight earlier this year, providing an exciting day out doing the closest thing to paintball… but with bows!

Bowhunter Archery Tagon Buckbury Lane in Newport, is the island’s premier archery tag, promising to bring out everyone’s competitive side.

Some of the activities offered by the attraction are agility challenges, combat zone archery, target practice challenges, speed races, missions and team building.

Each bow is made with a protective foam pad that greatly reduces impact, meaning you can be hit without the pain of paintball.

Bowhunter’s arena is 100 feet by 50 feet, which allows for a 20-foot safe zone.

Owner Danny Fretwell said: “Bowhunter Archery Tag is an adrenaline pumping activity, suitable for anyone over the age of 13 who wants their birthday, event or bachelor party to do something special. unforgettable.

“From the start, you’ll be immersed in one of the most creative and dynamic games since paintball.

“You will also benefit from target practice and be guided by a steward throughout the match to ensure safety is always a priority.”
