The City of Windsor will hold a public ribbon-cutting ceremony and offer tours of the Windsor Archery Range Expansion, 465 Poudre Trail Drive, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Monday, October 17.

The project was made possible by a grant from Colorado Parks and Wildlife, according to a press release.

The archery range received funding from the Colorado Shooting Range Development Grant, which is administered by Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW), in February 2020. The CPW grant covered $100,000 of the $130,000 of the total cost of the project.

Windsor also received in-kind donations from FCI Constructors, Corbel Engineering and Traverse Builders LLC, the statement said.

The range includes target shooting from 10 yards to 65 yards; a 3D archery course along the Poudre River which includes 17 animal targets, six new bouldering targets, two raised target platforms including one with ADA accessibility; a shelter for the lessons; and improving parking lots and trails. Participants can bring their equipment and use the shooting range after the ribbon cutting.

It will be open seven days a week all year round, from sunrise to sunset. Access to the domain is free.
